LG Shine Pink Is An Orange LG KE970 Exclusive Phone

Sunday, July 27th, 2008
Exclusive mobile phone models are becoming a far more common phenomenon in this age of tough competitive conditions within the mobile phones industry, manufacturers, networks and dealers are striving to find new ways of promoting their products and services to appeal to a wider audience to invite more sales and revenue.

It is not that often that a network operator or retailer will get sole rights to sell a particular model of phone, the deals being struck at the moment are more for colour variants of popular models to expand the personal appeal of a handset.

Pink plays a big factor in this exclusive deal making environment, this particular colour is aimed firmly in the direction of the female consumers who have only really had a choice of black and silver phones for many years. There are far more colour variants available, however pink is a real crowd pleaser when it comes to the female market.

The latest addition to the exclusive deal making is the LG KE970 Shine in Pink signed between LG Electronics and Orange the UK network operator. The LG Shine model was first released in a silver casing some four months ago and backed by a multimillion pound advertising and promotion campaign has been established as a mainstream handset offering style and sophistication. The second colour variant release was the LG Shine KE970 Titanium Edition which offered exactly the same specifications as the silver version but added a dark titanium casing making the handset a far more masculine offering.

So it comes as no surprise to find a female version of the phone launching onto the UK market, the LG Shine Pink, again this handset offers the same dimensions and features as the other models but comes encased in a bright pink exterior, one more factor that makes the handset appealing to women is the fact that when the main display is not in use it reverts to a vanity mirror which reflects light, hence the name Shine.

The KE970 has a large, full colour screen and incorporates a new form of navigational button just underneath, this new button allows the user to easily scroll through the menu functions as well as depress to select a desired option.

The Shine comes complete with a 2.0 megapixel camera with a flash for poor light conditions, a digital zoom function for close up picture capture and video support for recording short video clips and playing them back on the phones display.

There is also a music player that can be filled with music tracks by either uploading from a PC or downloading direct from the mobile internet before being arranged into playlists to suit genre, mood or tempo. To store the vast amount of files created with the camera and music player there is a substantial 1GB of internal memory.

Now that Orange have signed the exclusive deal with LG to distribute the LG Shine Pink, no other network, retailer or dealership will be able to sell the handset, this gives the network operator a great advantage in the run up to the always busy festive season.

The SPV M3100 Model Mobile Phone Coming In Black And Silver

Sunday, July 20th, 2008
With the launch of the new model SPV M3100 Orange mobile phone has gone steps ahead in the mobile phone market. Thanks to the sophisticated style, color and advanced features. The SPV M3100 model mobile phone coming in black and silver finish definitely works well and despite looking relatively obese compared to the plethora of anorexic, ultra-slim handsets on the market. This model is quite stylish and modern. With a weight of 178g including SIM, battery and memory card, this new model from Orange may not be too light weighted according to the market trends, but of course, it isn’t heavy compared to most Windows Mobile devices either.

The model has a plethora of buttons all over the M3100 model mobile phone, but still it doesn’t look cluttered. There exists a four way navigation pad with a button at the center below the 240 x 320 screen. The navigation pad carries different buttons on both sides namely Call and End buttons, an OK button and a Windows button. There also is an interesting addition which is a dedicated video call button that makes the differentiation from voice calls much easier. There exists a couple more buttons above the screen which is launched by the email client, while the other launches the web browser. And in the end, at the top right of the front fascia exists a small camera for the purpose of video calling.

On the base of the unit there exists an IrDA port, in case you’ve still got hardware that uses it. Next to the IrDA port is a mini-USB port that helps in charging and syncing. Interestingly, the bundled hands-free set also uses the mini-USB port. It brings with it a couple of issues like preventing from the use of headphones while listening to music. There are also problems like not being able to hear music while the M3100 is getting charged.

3 Tips on Choosing the Best Mobile Plan For You!

Saturday, July 12th, 2008
Every business owner needs a mobile phone, and probably some more phones for their staff. The problem is that, with a plethora of carriers out there competing for your business, there are a multitude of plans and it can be hard to make sense of all of them.

How many calls do you need to make- There are a variety of plans available from the low end user who may not make any calls, up to the high end executive who is on the phone all the time. If you are not making many calls, there is no point in being on a high end plan with a high committed spend. Conversely, if you make a lot of calls, you do not want to go on a low end plan with a higher call rate or less included calls. Would an SMS do- many plans include free SMS’s so, instead of making a call, consider whether you could get the same message across with an SMS. Do you use your phone mostly for business or pleasure- The best mobile phone plan for you may not actually be a business plan. If you use your phone more for pleasure, chances are that you may use your phone more outside business hours and on the weekend. Most business phone plans have cheap calls during the day and expensive calls at night. If you are going to be using your phone the other way around (i.e. more calls at night) it would make sense to pick a plan that gives you cheaper calls at night and on the weekend.

Business mobile plans are confusing, and it can often be hard to decide which plan is best for you. The best way to decide this is to look at how you will be using your phone, and then analyse this against the plans that are available.
